Welcome Parents & Teachers!

Welcome! This area includes information regarding your child's education in our Technology Education classrooms.

As many adults have never experienced a true "Technology Education" course themselves while in school, we would like to provide you with information as to what our program involves. Many adults are still confused as to what comprises a Technology Education course such as ours, and mistakingly assume it is a "computers only" course.  While we DO use computers in the classroom, our focus is not strictly teaching computer applications. In our program, the engineering design process is taught through a hands-on, minds-on approach to education.  Whether designing an aerodynamic vehicle, programming a robot, or testing electronic circuits, students at Amherst Middle are being exposed to a wide range of today's technology, in order to meet our ultimate goal-- to develop TECHNOLOGICAL LITERACY!
