Can I make a copy?

    Yes.  There is a self-serve copy machine in the Information Center. The cost is $.10 per page. 

Can I print?

    Yes.  Students may print in the Computer Center.  Print jobs may be sent to either the black and white photocopier or the color laser printer.

Is there a charge to print?

    There is no charge to print in black and white; it is $.10 to print in color.

Can I check a magazine out?

    A magazine can be checked out for 5 days however, the newest issue does not circulate.

How long can I check a book out for?

    A book may be checked out for 15 school days.

How much are the overdue fines?

    The fine is  5 cents a day for regular items and 25 cents a day for overnight items.  There is no fine charged for weekends or holidays.   Fines are capped at $3.00 per item.

Can I make up a test?

    Yes.  Tests are available at the Circulation Desk.  Students must sign in and all materials (backpacks, notebooks, etc.) must be left behind the circulation desk.  If they are caught cheating, they will be banned from testing in the library for the remainder of their Amherst career and must make up any missed tests or quizzes with their teacher.

Can I E-Mail?

    No.  Because of the threat of viruses, all outside e-mail accounts have now been blocked by the District. 

Can I play games on the computers?

    NO. This is a direct violation of the computer use policy.  Gaming is not allowed in the Computer Center.
