Mr. William T. Blanford

Bill Blanford and his wife Cheryl are both long-time residents of the Town of Amherst. They have lived in Snyder for the past 26 years. Their three sons have all attended Amherst schools.
Mr. Blanford is a Vice President at M&T Bank where he has been employed since 1980. He is a 1975 graduate from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Blanford has been a school board member since August 1999. He has served five terms as Board President since 2004 and is a member of the District’s Policy Sub-Committee.

Mr. David A. Stocking

A 25 year resident of Amherst, David currently lives with his wife Christina and two of his four children, Joey and Jackson. Joey has completed his freshmen year at Geneseo College, and Jackson is an eighth grader at Amherst Middle School. His daughter Katie and son Stephen are recent graduates of the University of Buffalo, as well as Amherst High School.
Mr. Stocking is currently Program Director for the Industrial Controls Division of Moog, Inc. During his 26 years at Moog, he has held management positions in Engineering and Operations, including an assignment at Moog’s facility in Cork, Ireland. David graduated from Clarkson University in 1978 where he received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. Stocking served as a school board trustee for two terms from 1993 to 1999, until leaving for his overseas work assignment. Following his return to Amherst, he subsequently served two additional terms between 2003 and 2009. For the past five years, he has held the office of Board Vice-President. In the past, David volunteered as a PTA Board liaison, and as a coach for Amherst Girls Soccer, Central Amherst Little League, and Amherst Hockey Association.

Ms. Jennifer Bayles

Jennifer Bayles has lived in the Buffalo area for twenty-five years. She and her husband, Rob Steinfeld, moved to Snyder thirteen years ago so that they could enroll their children in the Amherst Public Schools. Both of their sons will be attending Amherst High School in the 2009-10 school year.
With a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Masters degree in art history and museum studies from the University of Michigan, Jennifer has worked at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery for twenty-five years serving as Curator of Education for eighteen years and as Educator for Special Projects for two years prior to assuming her current position as Grants Manager in the Development Department.
Ms. Bayles has been an active and engaged Amherst parent volunteer for more than a decade serving on the Shared Leadership Teams at the Smallwood Drive School (2001-2004) and at Amherst High School (2006-2008), as a member of the 2004 Comprehensive District Educational Plan Committee, as a room parent and library volunteer at Smallwood (1998-2006), and as an active PTA member/volunteer serving most recently as Chairperson of the High School/Middle School PTSA Grant Committee (2006-08).

Dr. Ann Marie Carosella

Dr. Carosella has her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Princeton University. She is currently a Co-Investigator on an NIH grant at the University of Buffalo, Department of Medicine.
Ann Marie and her husband, Jeffrey Lackner, have lived in the district for 17 years. They are the parents of two children: Rachel (age 16) is a 10th grader at the Amherst Central High School and Benjamin (age 13) is in the 7th grade at Amherst Middle School.
Dr. Carosella has been on the Smallwood Leadership Team for five years. She was a Smallwood Reading Center volunteer (9 years) and is active in the Middle School and Smallwood PTA.

Dr. Illana Lane

Dr. Illana Lane has been an educator for 20 years. She is the Dean of the School of Education at Medaille College. She holds a Ph.D. in Education and she also has her MS.Ed. from SUNY at Buffalo and a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. Lane, who is originally from East Hampton, NY, and her husband, Darrell, have been residents of the community for eight years and are the parents of two children at Amherst Middle School, Darrell (age 12), Grade 7 and John (age 10), Grade 6.
Dr. Lane has been active in the district and served as a member of the Windermere Leadership Team (2 years), a member of the Windermere PTA, the High School/Middle School PTSA and has served on the Pre-K Advisory Committee. She is a also a board member for the New York Association of Teacher Educators (NYSATE). Her participation in other organizations includes, Jack and Jill of America Inc., and Delta Kappa Gamma (Alpha Lambda chapter), a professional organization of women educators. Dr. Lane is also a conference presenter on educational issues.

Mr. Paul Steimle

Paul Steimle and his wife Amy are both long-time residents of the Town of Amherst and have lived in Snyder for the past 12 years. They have five children: Brittany, Tyler, Michael, Joseph and Isabel. Brittany and Tyler are both graduates of Amherst High School while Michael, Joseph and Isabel all currently attend Smallwood.
Mr. Steimle has been President of MJI Consulting Group LLC, a real estate consulting firm, for the last 5½ years. Prior to this Mr. Steimle worked for the international accounting firm KPMG LLP where he was a Senior Manager in their State and Local Tax Consulting Group for 10 years. Mr. Steimle holds a B.S. degree in Finance and an MBA, both from the University of Buffalo. Mr. Steimle is also a 2007 graduate of the University of Buffalo’s Center For Entrepreneurial Leadership program.
In the past, Mr. Steimle has volunteered as Chairman of the Smallwood PTA Grants Committee and as a coach for Central Amherst Little League.

Mrs. Leslie Kramer

Leslie Shuman Kramer grew up in Williamsville and has resided in Snyder for the past 17 years. She received a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Cornell University, and a Juris Doctor degree from University of Buffalo School of Law. After practicing law in both Chicago and Buffalo, she has spent the past 12 years focusing on her family and her community through volunteer and philanthropy services.
She has volunteered for programs at each of her children’s schools, from helping out at Centers, to running a session for the Middle School “International Day”, to assisting at the Lacrosse Spaghetti Dinner. In addition to her involvement in the Amherst Schools, she has been a board member, and then President, of the bureau of Jewish Education, chaired the Education Committee of her synagogue, and volunteered for the Buffalo Jewish Coalition for Literacy at former Buffalo School 78.
Mrs. Kramer current is completing her term as Chairman of the Women’s Philanthropy Division of the Jewish Federation of Buffalo, where she chaired the 2009 and 2010 UJF Women’s Philanthropy Campaigns. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the buffalo Family Justice Center, which provides support to victims of domestic violence.
She and husband Jim have three children: Josh, a junior at Amherst Central High School, Joey, a 7th grader at Amherst Middle School, and Leah, a 5th grader at Smallwood Drive Elementary School.
