Welcome to Amherst Middle Technology Education! This “News” section is periodically updated to reflect what we are doing in the classrooms of Amherst Middle Technology Education...check back for updates!

Our current program students rotate through each Technology classroom every 10 weeks.

Students experience hands-on, relevant and meaningful instruction with starting with Ruler Reading, Energy, woodworking/construction, D.D.P., Manufacturing and Production, Media Literacy and Broadcast Journalism courses one year.  The next year  they construct and testing Mousetrap vehicles, building hockey bots, learn about injecting plastics, Google Sketch-up and AutoCAD software, Video production tools, mobile learning, digital citizenship.

Each rotation offers students a chance to design, construct, and evaluate different areas of technology, in order to become a technologically literate person.

From wood chips to computer chips, Amherst Middle Technology Education truly is “Where Technology Education is a way of life, not a course!”
