The Varsity Ice Hockey Federation Team wants to thank everyone for their support during the 2011-12 season!

Remaining Games:

Thursday February 2nd: 9:00pm vs. Clarence - Northtown Center - Olympic Rink

Monday February 6th: 5:30pm vs. West Seneca East - West Seneca Town Rink

Saturday February 11th: 1:00pm vs. Hamburg - Northtown Center - Feature Rink (Senior Day and Kids Day!)

Final Game: Sunday February 12: 3:00pm vs. West Seneca West - Buffalo State College (Make-Up Game)

Early Bird Tournament Champions:

The Amherst Tigers are once again champions of the Early Bird Tournament defeating Sweet Home 5-2 on Friday night and Liverpool 7-2 Saturday in the championship game. Congratulations Tigers!

Full Week Summer Camp

Coach Mobus along with former Buffalo Sabre Jason Dawe brought a Pro Hockey Summer Camp to the Northtown Center at Amherst and completed a very successful week of camp. The 45 players involved enjoyed the fun, hard work, skill development, battle drills, games both on and of the ice and much more.

Record Setting Tigers... 

The 2011-12 Men's Varsity Team finished the season with an overall record of 14-7-2. They broke the record for most wins in a single season with 14!

They also broke the record for Highest Winning % for a single season!

Congratulations Junior Forward TJ Kaszubski

Forward TJ Kaszubski was named to the First Team All Small School Federation All-Star Team and was also named to the New York State High School Hockey Coaches Association Division 2 Second All-State Team!

Kaszubski broke the Amherst All-Time Leading Scoring Record this season having a three year total of 30 goals and 64 assists for 94 points!

Lastly, Kaszubski was chosen for the 2011 Bowman Cup Buffalo Juniors Team! The game will be held at HSBC Arena on April 7th at 6:00pm.

2010 Alumni...

Congratulations to our Senior Goalie Sean Smith for being selected to participate in the 2010 Bowman Cup at HSBC Arena on March 29th. It is an excellent honor and accomplishment for Sean as he is considered one of the top three senior goalies in Niagara and Erie County. Sean played in the second period of the game and allowed 0 goals. His Buffalo team defeated Rochester 4-2.
