Why Join the Middle School/High School PTSA?
With very little time commitment and a small donation, you play an integral part in our community. The middle school and high school operate differently from the elementary schools in that they don’t need us in the buildings to create, organize and staff huge events (insert sigh of relief). However, the teachers and staff in the buildings still need our help in funding extra opportunities they would love to provide for our children. We exist and fundraise to provide a Grant budget for both middle school and high school educators to assist in their extra endeavors. In the past few years, the PTSA has helped fund musical theater training, extra art supplies, math career day, a STEAM expo, senior breakfast, as well as field trips to the National Quiz Bowl, Shea’s, the Irish Classical Theater and the Power Vista just to name a few.
We encourage you to attend PTSA meetings for the same reason we do ~ to find out the stuff our kids aren’t telling us! Administrators from both schools report on what’s happening and what’s coming up on the calendar. We try very hard to keep it to (an informative) one hour because we know a parent’s time is valuable and already stretched thin.
We thank you and look forward to seeing you at a 2019-2020 meeting.
