    What does achieving the “American Dream” of owning and operating a business really involve? This course introduces the essentials of how to start and plan a small business. This course builds students' skills in the knowledge of the entrepreneurial mindset, types of business ownership, marketing, and the development of a lean business plan for a business. Students will read The Lemonade Stand book authored by the Amherst Alum Ara Bagdasarian. This course can help all students develop many valuable skills including: collaboration, communication, leadership, writing, critical thinking, creativity and presentation.
