This program is designed to provide maximum support for students who have difficulty with reading, writing, organization, and study skills.  Most sections are co-taught with a consultant teacher to provide support and individual attention for the students.  The pacing of the curriculum and smaller class sizes are tailored to reach maximum potential of enrolled students.  The major goal of this class is to build a firm foundation of skills and content that is necessary to succeed in passing the Global History Regents exam at the end of 10th grade.  The integrated portion of the program takes place in the student’s English class as the curriculum is reinforced to enhance the Global History units.  Students are recommended for this program through the Guidance Department at the Middle School or by High School teacher referral.  Space is limited in this program to ensure a low teacher to student ratio.  This course ends in the Global Regents examination.
