    Substitute Recruitment for 2021-22 - Apply by Aug. 16, 2021
    Amherst Central School District is recruiting substitutes for the 2021-22 school year in the areas of certified and non-certified teachers, teaching assistants and teacher aides including special education, school nurses and food service helpers.
     

    Candidates should apply online by Aug. 16, 2021. Selected candidates will be contacted via email to schedule an interview on Thursday, Aug. 19 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. No phone inquiries, please. Substitutes are needed for all grade levels at the high school, middle school and elementary school.

    WNY School Application System
    Amherst Central School District utilizes the WNY Schools Standard Application System (WNYRIC) for certified teaching and administrative positions and classified non-teaching positions. All applicants (permanent and substitute) must submit their application materials directly through the WNY School Application System site. 

     
    NOTE: Please do not fax, email, or mail copies of your application materials. All non-teaching applicants must apply online.

     
    Substitute Recruitment
    The district accepts applications year-round for substitute positions from candidates who are looking to join a high-quality school district.
     

    2020-21 Substitute Teacher Rates (per diem, new hire)

    • Days 1-20 (consecutive or non-consecutive) and all uncertified, $100/day
    • 21 days or more (certified only) and retired Amherst teachers, $110/day
    • Long term substitute teacher, $120/day
