TIES for Participants and their Parents

  • It is important in life to provide children with opportunities to interact with others. This is a key component to formalizing friendships and support circles that will be effective to building relationships.  TIES can do that. It's a terrific experience that offers friendship, growth, and socialization.

TIES support is individualized and can be in physical, social/ behavioral, or language areas. Participants are children & young adults with developmental disabilities between the ages of 8-21. Participants list the activities they would like to join and the coordinator works to find the needed support to make that happen.

It's simple to join. For more information on how to sign up for  TIES, please contact Saundra Loffredo , TIES Coordinator at 362-3073.

Here are a few comments from parents who have children that  participated in a Drumming Circle this summer:

"I think the drumming circle is wonderful, I think my son loved just being there among other kids and the cool sounds".

"We enjoyed drumming circle and the volunteers were very helpful".
