    1 Unit

    Prerequisite:  Drawing and Painting

Satisfies graduation requirement in Fine Arts

Students will explore different techniques, concepts, and mediums as well as develop greater mastery of skills and concepts learned in Drawing and Painting.  Students will be working more independently exploring their personal creativity in a variety of mediums such as watercolor, printmaking, graphic, dry and oil pastel, charcoal, collage, acrylics, and oils.  Besides working realistically, students will have the opportunity to work expressionistically and abstractedly.  They will have opportunities to examine how different artists approach themes and concepts as related to class work.  This is an Honors level course, and students will continue to improve their portfolio work for possible college interviews.
