Physicals: All students entering the school district for the first time, those entering Pre-K or K, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade, will need a health examination physical. The examination must be completed by a New York State licensed physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, and presented to school within 30 days of entering school. Physicals are valid if performed no sooner than 12 months prior to the first day of school of the year in which it is required. Health Form 2019
School Hours: School begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. Students should not arrive at school before 8:30 a.m. Prior to that time, there are no adults who can provide supervision. If your child will not be in school, please call the Parent Alert number at #362-4249 and leave a message as to the date of absence and why the child will not be in school.
Did you know? Through the use of Google Expeditions/Virtual Reality, students are traveling around the world without ever having to leave the classroom! One example is fourth-graders researching volcanoes. Students were on a chromebook using databases and finding information about how volcanoes were formed, their history of eruptions and their impact on the earth for their research projects. Students were then able to visit their volcano up close through virtual reality goggles. It was as if our students had transformed into world class geologists - standing on edge of an active volcano ready to apply all that they learned through their research!
