Accessibility Notice
The Amherst Central School District is committed to complying with the provisions outlined in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 with regard to its district website. The goal is to provide access to students, parents and members of the community with disabilities the same access to independently acquire information and experience web-based interactions with the same ease of use and functionality as those without disabilities.
Transition
The Amherst Central School District is working to transition its website and web-based informational resources to comply with the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA. These standards will make web navigation easier for people with visual impairment, colorblindness, auditory, motor and cognitive disabilities, as well as for users without disabilities.
Alternative Formats
The Amherst Central School District is not always able to provide alternate text or HTML versions for many of the documents that appear on the website in Portable Document Format (pdf). However, we will make every reasonable effort to provide any web document or information in an alternate format accessible to a person with a disability.
Contact
If any person is unable to access information provided on our website or in a web-based resource, they are encouraged to contact the District Clerk Deborah Custodi to receive the information in the necessary format.
