  • Community Service and Internship opportunities occur at various time throughout the school year.  Please check back often. Please be aware that the ACHS Communtiy Service Requirement of 25 hours must be completed in order to participate in our ACHS graduation program on 6/29/2019

    Amherst Community Church: is offering community service hours to Amherst students through their child care program. The ACC is located next to the high school on Washington Dr. If you are interested stop by the church and ask for Andrea, Coordinator of the Child Care program.

    Volunteer Opportunity for Juniors & Seniors: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County are looking for volunteers. As a Big Brother or Big Sister you will have an opportunity to mentor a child who is dealing with issues at home and school. The friendship you will build with your Little Brother or Sister during the school year will make a Big difference in their life and in yours too!

    1. One day per week. You select the day & time.
    2. Share planned educational & recreational activities with a child.
    3. A BBBS Site Coordinator will be present at each visit.
    4. Great volunteer opportunity to do with a friend.

    COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: The Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village has opportunities for students to fulfill their community service hours. You can serve in many various ways, such as caring for artifacts at the Historical Museum, greet guests, maintenance work on the grounds and more. Holiday opportunities are also available.
