2022 Update: 20 participants helped raise over $12,500 to support the patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. 

This year we had invite-only assembly for family and friends of the participants on June 8. Great Clips of Williamsville helped us as our featured stylists this year.

Since 2015, Amherst Middle School has held a Bald For Bucks fundraising event to support the patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. To date, including the 2022 fundraising total, Amherst Middle School has raised over $146,000 to support Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. 2022 marks the eighth year Amherst Middle School has held a Bald For Bucks fundraising event to support the patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

In 2020, we were not able to hold a school-wide assembly to celebrate our fundraising efforts. Instead, our participants filmed themselves at home shaving, clipping, and styling their way to raising over $22,000!  Each year we are humbled by the dedication our students and teachers show to this very worthy cause.

In 2021, the pandemic again curtailed our plans for a school-wide assembly. Participants recorded themselves at home while they snip, clip, shave, and style their way to a cancer-free reality. Watch the 2021 Bald for Bucks video. In 2021, the team raised $10,040.

Staff and students that volunteer for Goin’ Bald for Bucks raise money by soliciting donations from sponsors, friends and family.
