Fifth Annual Event

  • Panera Bald for Bucks fundraiser is March 14. Bring the flyer into the Panera at 5311 Main Street, Williamsville between 4-8 p.m. and a portion of the sales will be donated to the AMS Bald for Bucks campaign.

Amherst Middle School is Goin’ Bald For Bucks on April 18 in an afternoon assembly at the school! Over the last four years, AMS has raised over $75,000 to support the patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The middle school is looking to build its team of volunteers as we fight for a cancer-free reality! Registration is now open. Please contact Mr. Mansfield at the middle school via email at dmansfield@amherstschools.org for more information.

Staff and students that volunteer for Goin’ Bald for Bucks raise money for cancer research and leading-edge patient care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Participants solicit donations from sponsors.

In return for these donations, they will get their head shaved or have eight inches of hair cut. The shaving of the head or cutting of hair is to honor cancer patients who lose their hair due to radiation or chemotherapy. Cuts of eight inches or more of non-chemically damaged hair will be donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Participants will also have the option of having colored hair clips put in their hair if they decide not to shave their head or donate eight inches of hair. This is another way to raise money to support the patient-care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Staff/Students need to raise $100 to donate their hair or to get it shaved. To have color clips placed in their hair, students will need to raise $75.

Experienced hair stylists from Great Clips will be shaving, cutting, and placing the colored hair clips in the hair of participants.
