Based on teacher recommendation, parents of students entering grades 6 and 7 next year will have received a letter if your child has been invited to participate in this program. Our team will use a series of diagnostic tools to determine each child’s strengths and opportunities for growth in the area of reading, and we will group students accordingly.  Teachers use research-based techniques throughout the program to positively impact each child’s reading ability, and will closely monitor each child’s progress.  Each child will also complete at least one of the two summer reading projects while participating in the program.
