ACHS Senior Designs Jacket Featured in Fashion Show

A jacket designed and sewn by Mia Moore, a senior enrolled in the Erie 1 BOCES’ Fashion Design Technology program, will be featured in the program's annual fashion show.

The FUSION ’25 Fashion Show: Portals of Illusion will take place at 7 p.m. on April 3 at Salvatore’s Italian Garden, 6461 Transit Rd, Depew, and will showcase the work of 24 high school fashion students from across Western New York. This year’s class of designers is the largest since the show was first held in 2009.

The two-year Fashion Design Technology program teaches students how to dress, style and create trends based on design elements and the fashion cycle. Students in the program also develop business plans as a part of their studies, setting them up for future success. The fashion show is the culminating event for the fashion design students.

One new element for this year’s show is a series of sustainably upcycled fashion designs created with clothing acquired by students with support from Goodwill of Western New York. The students were able to find items and visualize potential new uses to recycle and reuse items to create something beautiful.

Tickets for this year’s show are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Read more about the show.
