Presenting Our Annual Staff Service Awards

An annual tradition each August in the District is to honor various staff members who have dedicated their careers to the Amherst Central School District. As part of the 2025-2026 School Year Opening Days, staff that has worked for the district for 25 or more years were honored. 

Celebrating 35 years at Amherst Central School District is Karen DiPaolo, a teacher aide at Smallwood Drive Elementary. For the past several years, she has worked in the library greeting our youngest learners with a happy smile and helping them pick out a good book.

Celebrating 30 years with the district are Lisa Pupo, Smallwood Drive Elementary; Michelle Casseri, Windermere Boulevard Elementary; Laura Clemons, Lee Hernquist, Amherst Middle School; David Benton, David Mansell, Gretchen Poeller, Katherine Smith, Amherst High School.

Recognized for 25 years of service are Kelly Sykas, District Office; Angela Antersol, J. Richard Crozier, Laura Samol, Smallwood Drive Elementary; Christina Randazzo, Windermere Boulevard Elementary; Catherine Barnes, Nancy Claxton, JoAnna Fildes, Rosamaria Panella, Kelly Rupp, Deborah Starks, Amherst Middle School.
