AMS Tech Club Earns Top Awards

Students in the middle school Tech Club competed in Tech Wars at SUNY Niagara in early January 2025. The event featured over 550 students from more than 22 school districts. AMS students participated in events like mousetrap cars, bridge building, trebuchet launching, and STEM challenges. Many of our students spent months preparing their projects. They placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Mousetrap Cars and excelled in other events. Several students built a trebuchet and the Tech Club competed in the trebuchet competition for the first time!
Mouse Trap Car winners:
- 1st Place: Emmy Ordon whose car went 75’ 6”
- 2nd Place: Simeon Kenney and Zach Schneider whose car went 71’2”
- 3rd Place: Rhys Richardson and Trevor Peterson whose car went 69’11”
