Sean McKeone Named Varsity Football Coach

Sean McKeone, a former offensive analyst and assistant director of recruiting for the University at Buffalo football program, has been named the varsity football coach at Amherst Central School District. In his role at UB, he was responsible for scripting practice in-season and off-season and evaluating upcoming opponents to the head coach through film evaluation. He also held the offensive quality control position for three years at UB.
His appointment was approved by the Amherst CSD Board of Education April 21, 2026.
With over 10 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, he has also worked as a graduate assistant wide receiver’s coach at Valdosta State University in Georgia, a wide receiver’s coach at Hiram College in Ohio, a student assistant/offensive quality control at Stetson University in Florida and as a TE coach and assistant special teams coordinator for the Tropical Bowl in Florida.
He has a bachelor in business administration degree in sport business from Stetson University and a master’s degree in public administration from Valdosta State University.
