Creator & Exec. Producer of CSI TV Franchise Visits ACHS

Students listen to guest speaker The creator and executive producer of the TV forensics show CSI, in town to promote a graphic novel book series, visited ACHS to speak to students about his career.


Anthony E. Zuiker, who created the popular CSI:Crime Scene Investigation franchise on CBS, shared a story from early in his career about how a screenplay he wrote for a Harlem Globetrotter movie landed on producer Jerry Bruckheimer's desk and led to the CSI series.


"Embrace the happy accident," he told the room.


He told the students he never quits, has a hunger for his work and a strong work ethic. 


He and his wife, Michelle, who has ties to the Amherst area, have a new venture, Zuiker Press and are publishing a series of graphic novels for youth that explore issues of cyberbullying, divorce, multiculturalism and body image. 


He also told the students about his involvement in writing the Broadway musical Soul Train and developing a crime scene game show.
