Four Amherst Central High School photographers were award winners in the Annual Burchfield Art and Nature Center Photo Contest. The competition is open to adult professional and amateur photographers.
The awards were presented at a reception and the show will be up until Nov. 23 at the West Seneca Community Center 1300 Union Rd. West Seneca.
First prize went to Ahmed Salem in Sentimental Journey "MirrorMirror", second place went to Lillian Sykes in Caught in the Act "Shuffle". Lilly has been a winner in this show three years in a row. Second place went to Ian Guerico in Black and White "Lumina". Honorable mention went to Zachary Klaasen in Architectural Angles "Hall of Doom - Dauchau". The winners received cash awards.
Eleven other students are also exhibiting their fine photos; Emma Beiter, Deb Custodio, Alyssa Enders, Krysta Frankowski, Zoe Kraft, Sarah Murphy, Nick Reilly, Tyler Sheehan, Johnnie White, Taylor Wolf, Lauren Womack.
