Back to Live Performances with the ACHS Drama Club’s “Alice in Wonderland”
For actors, there’s nothing as invigorating as performing before a live audience. The 50 students involved in the cast and the crew of this year’s Amherst Central High School Drama Club’s performance of “Alice in Wonderland” got to experience that audience energy during three performances in November.
“I selected this play to really allow the students to have some fun,”said Alexandra Montesano, Drama Club Advisor and Physics and Earth Science Teacher. “I think over the past few years, we all wished we could just escape to our own personal Wonderland, so it seems like a fitting place to go for our first live production in a while.”
The show ran on Nov. 12 and 13 in the Amherst Central High School Auditorium.
Health and safety protocols were put in place for the actors and audience. Actors wore transparent face masks and were three feet apart. Audience members of the same household were seated in pods and masks were required.
