Nine students from Amherst Central High School qualified at the regional DECA competition on Dec. 12 to advance to the state competition in March. Amherst’s team of 12 students competed in the DECA Regional competition at Grand Island High School in various decision-making role play events against more than 300 DECA students from WNY high schools. Amherst showed off their soft skills such as presentation, creativity and collaboration skills. The winners are eligible to go to the DECA state competition in March.
