Beauty and the Beast Jr. on Stage
The well-known characters of Belle, Beast, Gaston and Lumiere will grace the Amherst Middle School stage in the musical production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr.
There are approximately 120 students involved either on stage in the cast or behind the scenes. Directing the musical is music teacher Erin Ayer. Amherst Middle School teachers assisting are Paul Biddle, producer; Patrick O'Donnell, stage crew manager; Jeff Palmer, lighting and sound technician and Dr. Dale Bosworth, chief set designer.
During the week of Jan. 13-17, the middle school will be collecting food for the Tiger’s Den Food Pantry.
The production will delight the audience with the set designs and costumes. The show will be performed Friday, Jan. 17 at 9:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the middle school auditorium, 55 Kings Highway. Admission is $7.
