Docents from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House in Buffalo visited Amherst Middle School’s Studio in Art class to work with students who are in the junior docent program. Students are preparing for the spring when they will act as docent tour guides at the Darwin Martin House. During the visit, the students practiced their scripts so they are able to describe to visitors the historical significance of various areas of the Martin home. In December, students toured the home. Docents will come back to the middle school in April for a final prep session.
During the spring docent tour, each student will wear a t-shirt designed by classmate Cameron Brandt. Students were able to submit designs for the shirts and the one with the most votes was chosen.
