Docents from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House in Buffalo visited Amherst Middle School’s Studio in Art class to work with students who are in the junior docent program. Students are preparing for the spring when they will act as docent tour guides at the Darwin Martin House to describe to visitors the historical significance of various areas of the Martin home. They took a field trip to tour the Darwin Martin House and had the unique experience of being able to sketch in the house after their tour. Docents will come back to the middle school in April for a final prep session.

In art class the students worked on linocuts related to architecture in their printmaking unit.
