Third-graders at Windermere put their thinking caps, creativity and problem solving to work to create a replica of an amusement park ride. Lindsey Mack, the enrichment teacher at Windermere, taught an engineering unit with her third-grade students where they had to build a ride in an amusement park.
Students started the unit off by building an incline plane to relate concepts of force and motion, and the project culminated in building their own ride.
