Four Amherst Central High School student-athletes signed their national letter of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers on the collegiate level.
Grace Van Buren heads to the women's swim program at Canisius College. Her records this season include ECIC AA Champion 50 freestyle, Section VI Class B Champion 50 freestyle ('17, '18) and state qualifying times in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly. For the past two swim seasons, she has set WNY pool records in the 50-, 100- and 200-freestyle, the 100 butterfly and as a member of the relay team. She holds school records for 100 butterfly ('18), 100 freestyle ('17), 200 medley relay ('18), 200 freestyle relay ('18) and 400 freestyle relay ('18).
Caroline Yoder will join the women's lacrosse team at St. Bonaventure University. During the 2018 spring lacrosse season at ACHS, she was a member of the 2nd Team All-WNY; 1st Team All-ECIC Division 3; All-Bee Team; Team MVP. Yoder, a defensive midfielder is a strong all-around player who made 34 goals and 7 assists in the 2018 season.
Charleigh Rondeau heads to the women's lacrosse team at Slippery Rock University. During the spring 2018 season, she was named to 1st Team All-WNY and 1st Team All-ECIC Division 3. Playing center and taking the draw for the team, her all-around athleticism earned her 38 goals and 20 assists in the 2018 season.
Kylie Nelson, who played for the Lady Tigers lacrosse team during her junior year and tallied three goals, is headed to the women's lacrosse program at North Greenville University.
