Two Seniors Recognized for Gridiron Season

Anthony McCarley in game Ryan Bitka in uniform Two senior Amherst Central High School football players are being recognized for their accomplishments on the field during the fall 2019 season.

Anthony McCarley (at right) was named a top 10 finalist for the Connolly Cup Award given annually to the top high school football player in WNY. He becomes only the third player in Amherst Football history to earn this distinction.

   

Ryan Bitka (at left) was named a top 12 finalist for the Trench Trophy Award given annually to the top lineman in WNY. He becomes the first player in Amherst Football history to be a finalist for the Trench Trophy.

   

Both players have been invited to attend the award banquets for their respective categories.
