Chris Kensy, Amherst Central High School varsity boys basketball coach, was named the 2021-2022 Overall Class "A" New York State Basketball Coach of the Year by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York. Kensy received the award at the Fall 2022 BCANY Coaches Clinic held in Cortland on Sept. 30 where he presented to middle school, high school and college coaches. The Basketball Coaches Association of New York is a service, advocacy and professional development organization for high school, junior college and college basketball teams.
