Legislator Vinal Secures New Funding Source for Tiger's Den
The Tiger’s Den Food Pantry, operated through a cooperative partnership between St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, FeedMoreWNY and the Amherst Central School District, will receive an extra funding boost in 2021 thanks to the work of Erie County Legislator Hon. Jeanne M. Vinal, Esq., who secured a $1,000 line item in the Erie County 2021 budget for the Tiger’s Den.
“I am so happy to inform you that I added to the Erie County Budget a direct line to Tiger's Den in the amount of $1,000. Tiger's Den is an important part of Erie County and every group needs support this year,” she said, adding that it was a priority for her to get funding for Tiger's Den because she knows how important the pantry is to families.
Legislator Vinal is in her first year as Erie County Legislator for District 5, which contains about 75 percent of the Town of Amherst and includes Eggertsville, Snyder, Village of Williamsville, Sweet Home, and parts of Getzville, Willow Ridge, and most of Williamsville outside the village as well.
The Tiger’s Den Food Pantry is located at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4007 Main Street, Eggertsville, NY 14226. Families who qualify in the 14226 and 14221 zip codes can enroll in the pantry program and choose boxed, canned and perishable food items, regardless if they have children attending the school district.
