The seniors in the graduating class of 2022 took a trip back to their elementary schools for a visit during the annual high school tradition of the Parade of Graduates. Dressed in caps and gowns, they visited Smallwood Drive and Windermere Boulevard elementary schools. At Smallwood Drive, the elementary students lined up outside around the building. At Windermere, the graduates got to walk the hallways again as students lined up outside their classrooms to give the seniors high fives and say congratulations.
Many of the students got hugs from former teachers. Windermere Blvd. teacher Jessica Gaughan had photos of her former students hung in the hallway outside her room from when they were third- and fourth-graders with her. By each student's photo was a greeting card and she stopped the kids as they went by for many hugs.
