Aspen Parent Portal: The District uses its Aspen Student Information System and Aspen Parent Portal to communicate important academic and safety related information to the parents/guardians of our students. Parents who do not have an Aspen Parent Portal account or have forgotten your login ID and/or password, contact your child’s school. The school will provide you with your login ID and password. If you have an Aspen Parent Portal account, current users can access the ACSD website and click on the Aspen Parent Portal icon.
Aspent will be used for:
- Text messaging as an ACSD emergency/important notification (i.e. emergency closing). If you are interested in opting in to receive emergency notifications via text, make sure that one or more of the phone numbers you provide on the Student Contact Data form in September is for a mobile device. - Distribution of Elementary Report Cards via the Aspen Parent Portal. When report cards are released, they will be accessible through the Portal. For elementary only, paper report cards will be given at parent teacher conferences and the end of the year.
- Elementary Classroom Placement through the Aspen Parent Portal. You will be able to access your child’s placement information through the Portal under the Classroom Placement/Transportation tab when the information is released. A notification email will be sent when placements are ready to view. Kindergarten students will receive both a paper and electronic notification. Aspen Portal Instructions
- District Busing drop off, pick-up times, and location will be distributed through the Aspen Parent Portal and your personal email. If you have any questions regarding transportation services, please call 716-362-3035.
Physicals: All students entering the school district for the first time, those entering Pre-K or K, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade, will need a health examination physical. The examination must be completed by a New York State licensed physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, and presented to school within 30 days of entering school. Before & After School Provider: Amherst CSD has partnered with Just For Kids for before school care at Windermere Boulevard Elementary School and after school care at Windermere Boulevard and Smallwood Drive Elementary Schools! All program information, registration and payment is done through the Just for Kids website. Pricing is calculated when you register your child(ren) as it is based on what you enroll for, how many children are enrolled, and potential other discounts.
